Council for Adult and Experiential Learning

At the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL), everything done supports one goal; that is making it easier for people to get the education and training that they need. They do this by finding practical ways to link people’s education to their jobs or future careers. CAEL also supports ways to link learning from individuals’ work and life experiences to their educational goals—so they earn their degrees and credentials faster.

AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR ADULT AND CONTINUING EDUCATION

The Presidential Scholarships are Bakerville University's most distinguished academic awards. It recognizes scholastic achievement, demonstrated leadership and unique personal qualities. Scholarship recipients receive annual tuition waivers, a generous merit grant and other unique incentives for each of four years.

The American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE) is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization. AAACE is an association of academics and professionals in the field of life long learning.

As stated in its mission, the association is dedicated to the belief that its field should enhance human fulfillment and positive social change. The organization strongly advocates relevant public policy, legislation, and social change initiatives which expand the depth and breadth of opportunities for the education of adults. AAACE also supports the ongoing growth and expansion of leadership roles in the field.

In addition to this general support, AAACE may advocate for specific policies, programs, legislation, and initiatives which it believes are of critical importance to life long learning.

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL

ITC is a leader in advancing distance education. ITC's mission is to provide exceptional leadership and professional development in higher education to its network of eLearning practitioners by advocating, collaborating, researching, and sharing exemplary, innovative practices and potential in educational technologies. ITC tracks federal legislation that will affect distance learning, conducts annual professional development meetings, supports research, and provides a forum for members to share expertise and materials.
